MICROBLADING
Microblading is a semi-permanent technique designed to enhance the appearance of the eyebrows. Microblading is method of tattooing, in which pigment is etched into the skin using a hand tool with a blade formed of tiny needles. Using short, delicate strokes to resemble natural hairs, this technique is most beneficial to candidates who struggle with sparse or light hairs and wish to achieve the appearance of fuller, thicker brows.
Who will benefit from microblading?
In many cases, Microblading is most successful for clients who suffer hair loss, due to either medical conditions or some intensive treatments such as chemotherapy.
Where hair growth is sparse, Microblading can be a fantastic alternative that transforms and boosts self-esteem.
Microblading is an excellent option for both men and women who have very active or athletic lifestyles. If you don’t have time in the mornings to apply make-up or you simply don’t want your eyebrows to wipe away throughout the day or during a workout, then Microblading can be a great choice.
Microblading reduces the amount of time it can take a person to get ready in the morning. It is an excellent alternative for those who are not very experienced of confident styling with their eyebrows or with make-up. People who are hoping to achieve the perfect brow and enhance their eyebrow shape may wish to choose microblading.
There are a variety of shapes, colours, intensities and thicknesses that can be achieved through microblading techniques.
Clients will require a consultation before treatment. During the in-depth discussion, the technician will assess the clients existing eyebrows and gain better understanding of their desired results.
How long does microblading lasts?
The effects of Microblading typically lasts up to between 12 to 24 months for most people before they need a touch up treatment. Cosmetic tattoo treatments are considered permanent and will not wash off. However, they will fade over time and may need to have touch-up every 12 months to 15 months. Those who do not follow aftercare instructions properly may require more frequent microblading touch-ups.
How should I prepare for my Microblading appointment?
- Do not work out 48 hours before the procedure.
- Discontinue any use on the face of retinol, glycolic acid, benzoyl peroxide, salicylic acid, and alpha hydroxyls, as well as any chemical anti-aging exfoliants, eyebrow growth serums, or any "brightening" skin care products at least two to three weeks prior to your microblading procedure. These products thin the skin and do not produce good healed results.
- Botox and dermal fillers should be avoided at least two to three weeks prior to the procedure.
- Avoid sun and tanning beds at least two weeks prior to your appointment because when your skin exfoliates a sunburn, it will take the pigment with it.
- Do not take any Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Niacin, or Advil within 48 hours of your appointment.
- Avoid blood thinning supplements, like garlic, turmeric, vitamin E and fish oils.
- Do not consume alcohol within 24-48 hours before procedure, and do not consume caffeine the morning of your appointment.
- No brow waxing, tinting, or threading at least one week prior to your appointment.
*You should arrive with your brows made up how you normally have them, so we can see what you like.
*Any skincare products for youth, repair, anti-aging, wrinkles, acne, tone correcting, brightening, etc. are likely to have these ingredients, do not use them anywhere on the face 3-4 weeks prior to procedure.
Procedure Steps
STEP 1
CONSULTATION
We will consult you regarding your natural brows, analyse your brows as is, and determine what look you want to achieve with microblading.
STEP 2
MEASUREMENTS
Measure up your new brows, this is the most important part of the process we use special tools to take measurements directly from your eyebrows. This will help to determine the start point and the endpoints of the eyebrows. This is to make sure that the shape of your new brow won’t go too far from the shape of your natural brows.
STEP 3
PENCIL IN YOUR NEW BROWS
This is to ensure the shape you want is the shape you’ll get once the actual blading starts.
STEP 4
NUMBING
By using a topical cream the eyebrows area is covered and set for approximately half an hour, until it kicks in.
STEP 5
CHOOSING THE PIGMENT
it involves mixing all the colours chosen and verifies again that they match your skin tone and your hair.
STEP 6
TATTOOING
Process of creating fine strokes and covering them with pigment. If there is any discomfort at this stage another quick layer of numbing cream is added to the area.
STEP 7
THE HEALING PROCESS
Now starts the healing process. You will go through a 4-week minimum healing process before coming back in for touch-up session.
STEP 8
THE TOUCH UP SESSION
Filling in the gaps where the pigment hasn’t taken or healed properly.
